Everything educators need to know about Erasmus+ Staff Mobility: funding, accreditation, deadlines, and professional development opportunities.
The EU's flagship program for education, training, youth, and sport
Erasmus+ is the European Union's program supporting education, training, youth, and sport across Europe. With a budget of €26.2 billion (2021-2027), it enables millions of Europeans to study, train, and gain experience abroad.

Participating Countries
Erasmus+ is organized into three Key Actions:
Professional development opportunities for educators across Europe
KA1 Staff Mobility enables school education staff to participate in professional development activities abroad, enhancing teaching quality and fostering European cooperation in education.
Participate in organized professional development courses (typically 5-7 days) covering teaching methods, digital skills, languages, and more.
Spend time at a partner school observing and learning from colleagues, understanding different educational systems and practices.
Teach at a partner school abroad, sharing your expertise and learning from international colleagues.
Mobilities typically last 2-30 days. Most structured courses run for 5-7 days, while job shadowing and teaching assignments can be longer based on your organization's needs.
Simplified access to Erasmus+ funding for your organization
Erasmus Accreditation is a simplified way to access KA1 funding. Once accredited, your organization can apply for mobility funding annually with reduced administrative burden.
Create a strategic plan outlining your organization's goals, target groups, and expected outcomes for internationalization.
Apply through your National Agency with your Erasmus Plan. Deadline is typically in October.
If approved, your accreditation is valid for the entire program period (until 2027).
Submit simplified funding applications annually in February and October.
For organizations planning regular mobilities, accreditation is highly recommended. It provides stability, reduces paperwork, and ensures continued access to funding.
