    Course Curriculum

    Day 1. Monday – Welcome and Introduction to the course

  1. Setting Individual Expectations and Objectives: Each participant will set personal learning goals for the week, aligned with the course's objectives.
  2. Getting to Know Each Other & Ice-Breakers: Interactive activities designed to help participants connect and establish rapport with each other.
  3. Self-awareness and Trigger Identification: Participants will engage in reflective activities to enhance self-awareness, identifying personal emotional triggers in a school setting.
  4. Recognizing Potential Challenges in the Classroom: Participants will observe classroom dynamics, discussing common challenges teachers face and how to address them.
  5. Self-assessment Activities on Recognizing Triggers: Participants will complete self- assessment exercises to help them identify their stressors and emotional responses.
  6. Day 2. Tuesday – Emotional Responses and Coping Mechanisms

  7. Conditioning and Programming: A session to understand how emotional responses are conditioned and how habits are formed, particularly in stressful classroom environments.
  8. Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms & Reactions: Participants will examine common unhealthy coping strategies, such as avoidance or overreaction, and the negative impact they can have on professional behavior.
  9. Healthy and Constructive Responses: Strategies for developing healthier responses to stressors, focusing on emotional regulation techniques like mindfulness and reframing.
  10. Day 3. Wednesday – Managing Overreactions and Emotional Regulation

  11. Managing Overreactions: Techniques to identify and manage overreactions, focusing on how to stay composed under pressure.
  12. Mental Toughness and Emotional Regulation: Developing mental toughness through emotional regulation techniques to maintain control during challenging situations.
  13. Bouncing Back from Challenges: Learning strategies to effectively recover from setbacks and maintain a positive outlook despite difficulties.
  14. Personal Choice and Responsibility: Participants will reflect on how they can take personal responsibility for their emotions and actions in a professional setting.
  15. Steps to Help You Stay Above the Line: Practical steps for staying emotionally positive and proactive in both professional and personal situations.
  16. Day 4. Thursday – Practical Application and Communication Skills

  17. Scenarios of Operating Below or Above the Line: Participants will analyze and discuss scenarios where individuals act reactively (below the line) versus proactively (above the line).
  18. Assessing Learning Objectives: Review and assess the learning outcomes of the course so far, ensuring objectives have been met.
  19. Role-Playing: Participants will take part in role-play exercises to practice communication and conflict resolution techniques in realistic scenarios.
  20. Communication and Conflict Resolution in Practice: Guided practice sessions focused on enhancing communication skills, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
  21. Day 5. Friday – Reflection, Feedback, and Cultural Exploration

  22. Feedback and Evaluation: Participants will provide feedback on their learning experience, discussing what worked well and areas for improvement.
  23. Certificate of Attendance: Participants will receive certificates acknowledging their successful completion of the course.
  24. Cultural Visit in the Local Area: A cultural excursion to explore the local area, providing participants with an opportunity to unwind and experience the local culture.

  28. Acquire diverse evidence-based self-regulation techniques tailored for educators and non- teaching staff, empowering them to manage stress, frustration, and other triggers in real time, fostering a more composed and focused working environment.
  29. Enhanced Communication and Conflict Resolution:

  30. Strengthening communication skills and conflict resolution strategies, equipping participants with the ability to deftly navigate challenging interactions with students, colleagues, and parents, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
  31. Application of Self-Regulation Strategies and Roleplays

  32. Learn how to translate acquired self-regulation skills into practical interventions. Participants will be equipped to model self-regulation techniques promoting a culture of emotional intelligence, resilience, and optimal positive outcomes.

    Certificate:

    Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance either on Thursday or Friday.

    Schedule:

    Classes take place in the morning or afternoon at the providers' discretion. The schedule outlines may differ significantly depending on participants’ requests and on the trainer, who has discretion over any changes.

    Depending on the course, you may be required to bring your own laptop.
